Wine Review: This dark straw-colored Semillon from Washington state opens with a lemon verbena and mild Anjou pear bouquet with a hint of lime zest. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and very approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty Granny Smith apple and gentle lime blend with notes of almond and saline. I also detected hints of bees wax and white tea. The finish is dry and refreshing. A second glass is a must as it is quite quaffable. I would pair this crowd pleasing, versatile and very good value Semillon with chicken francese or chicken piccata. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Refreshing and richly textured, this expressive Semillon shows vibrant melon, peach, Granny Smith apple, and fragrant honeysuckle set against a ginger and key lime character. On the palate, it is supple and energetic, replete with pear and stone fruit flavors, persisting to a balanced, crisp finish.
