Wine Review: This very deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from L'Ecole opens with red currant and spice cookie bouquet with hints of cinnamon and black plum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, expressive, and bright for a Cab. The flavor profile is red licorice and herbal tea blend with notes of black plum and oak. We also picked up some hints of menthol, graphite, cinnamon. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins stick around for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a rib roast and meat lasagna. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine is a blend sourced from prestigious vineyard sites representing four unique soil types in the Walla Walla Valley. Beautifully structured and polished, this stylish Cabernet immediately impresses with its aromatic purity, displaying brooding dark fruits, espresso, and graphite with hints of rose, black currant, and a savory earthiness. In the mouth, fresh flavors of black plum, blackberry, and lavender give way to a robust, mineral-laced finish.
