Wine Review: This bright straw-colored Semillon from L’Ecole is very good. It opens with a yellow grapefruit and lemon bouquet with hints of white peach. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and bright. The flavor profile is a chalky mineral influenced honeydew melon with notes of almonds and quince. I also detected hints of lime zest. The finish is rather dry and refreshing. This Semillon is food friendly and would pair well with a grilled ginger lime swordfish. Enjoy – Ken & Dave
Winemaker Notes: Refreshing and richly textured, this expressive Semillon shows vibrant kiwi, honeysuckle, and melon notes set against a spicy, citrus peel character. On the palate, it is supple and flavorful, replete with flavors of quince, fig, and stone fruit, persisting to a balanced, succulent finish.
