Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington state opens with a fragrant black currant and black cherry bouquet with a hint of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, and the fruit is juicy. The flavor profile is a dried cherry and chalky mineral blend with notes of black plum. I also detected hints of cedar, oolong tea, and baking spices towards the finish. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. This Cab would pair well with a juicy Angus burger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: With its classic varietal Cabernet profile, this focused wine shows layers of dark fruit, espresso, violet, and herbal notes. Layers of blackberry and cassis mingle with dusty tannins through a persistent finish.
