Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and very dark ruby colored wine from Red Mountain in Washington state is impressive. It opens with a pleasant ripe Bing cherry bouquet with a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty black cherry and oak blend with notes of fine minerality and dark chocolate. I also detected hints of blueberry and tea. On the finish, its flavors linger nicely, and its moderate dry tannins stick around even longer. I would decant this very nice wine for an hour and then pair it with a chuck-eye steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Made with fruit from distinguished old blocks of the acclaimed Klipsun Vineyard, this robust structured Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot blend shows cigar box aromatics that build into rich flavors of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, coffee, and leather. A fine-grained tannin structure balances a strong finish that showcases a wine that will continue to age beautifully in the bottle.
