Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Washington state opens with a fragrant cranberry and red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a rich and extracted black cherry and plum blend with notes vanilla and oak. I also detected some black pepper mixed in. The finish is dry and its very big and sticky tannins linger and last for a very long time. I would decant this Cab Franc for at least 30 minutes before serving it with a well-marbled ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Estate Cabernet Franc, rich garnet in color, opens with intriguing aromas of dark fruit layered with violet, pink peppercorn, and clove. Beautifully balanced, it shows notes of cocoa, blueberry, plum and orange peel leading to a savory dried herb finish.
