Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Syrah based blend from L'Aventure opens with a black raspberry and green olive bouquet with hints of wet stone and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, concentrated and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a tasty boysenberry and graphite blend with notes of black tea, black licorice, and plum. I also detected some hints of blueberry, cured meat, and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins are very nicely extended. I would pair this Syrah based blend with classic duck a l'orange. Enjoy – Ken
