Wine Review: This midnight black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Krupp Brothers was the clear winner of our recent "Big Blind" High End red wine tasting. It opens with an attractive black currant and cherry pie bouquet with hints of vanilla and acai berry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, beautifully balanced, smooth and savory. The flavor profile is a delicious blend of black currant and minerality with notes of dark chocolate, black tea, black cherry and a hint acai berry. The finish is very dry and displays amazing tannins that build up and last for a very long time. The Panel suggested pairing this very well-made Cab with a cowboy ribeye steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2016 M5 has an inky violet hue and aromas of black cherry, boysenberry, cedar and Chinese five spice interlaced with notes of sage. Richly opulent with a lush entry and creamy texture, this full-bodied wine envelops the palate in luscious black plum, ripe black currants, clove and caramel with a sprinkle of white pepper on the luxurious finish. Pair with New York steak in sage butter or roasted rosemary garlic rack of lamb. Drink now through 2036.
