Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Krupp Brothers is impressive! It finished in 4th place in our big blind tasting. It opens with a pomegranate and cherry like bouquet with notes of musty vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a delicious cherry and cassis blend with nicely integrated fine minerality and gentle vanilla oak. They also detected hints of Baker’s chocolate and blackberry. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins build up and last for a very long time. The panel suggested pairing this Cab with a well marbled ribeye. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Inky black in color with layered aromas of creme de cassis, ripe blackberry, cocoa, white pepper, vanillin, caramel and toasted French oak. The palate is flush, round and full of vibrancy. Ripe black cherry, dark chocolate, blueberry and integrated caramelized oak give way to a powerful, expressive and persistent finish. Crafted from Dr. Krupp's favorite block of Stagecoach Vineyard fruit, M5 is truly a classic Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2032.
