Wine Review: If you like big and very extracted Syrah, listen up. This one is for you. This almost black, opaque dark purple colored Syrah opens with a mild ripe black berry and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and very concentrated. The flavor profile is a blend of blackberry and black raspberry with a hint of spice and blueberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. This rich Syrah would be perfect on its own by the fireplace this winter. With food, I would have it with a messy rack of Memphis styled ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This first vintage of Koyle Royale Syrah is deep to bright purple, with aromas of fresh meat, wild berry, black cherry and a hint of herb. The texture is silky, harmonious, and concentrated – refined and beautiful. It has an elegant style that remains generous and welcoming, with an open, textured finish. The wine can be cellared for up to ten years, and decanting up to 30 minutes before serving is recommended.
