Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Kosta Browne opens with mild plum bouquet with a hint of black cherry, cola, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and silky smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle plum with hints of black raspberry, spice and black pepper. The finish is dry, pleasant and its fruit flavors linger nicely for quite some time. Briefly decant this wine and pair it with a rosemary and thyme seasoned pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromatics: Focused cherry and ripe cranberry envelop the glass, followed by intense black plum, sage, and Herbs de Provence. In the background there is a dusting of cocoa, lavender and rose. On the palate: Dark red and blue fruits drive down the center of your palate and slowy melt into all areas of the mouth. Focused acidity and supportive tannins carry the rich dark fruit character towards the midpalate, followed by creamy black cherry and cranberry. The intense start is followed by a slow release of complex flavors and textures which lead to a long and lingering finish.
