Wine Review: This deep gold colored Chardonnay from Knights Bridge opens with a custard pie and delicious red apple bouquet with hints of toasted coconut, wet slate, and marzipan. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, polished, and rounded. The flavor profile is a flan custard and toasted oak blend with notes of caramelized green apple and dried coconut flakes. We also detected some hints of butter, banana, and cantaloupe. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity show nice length with just a touch of heat. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with Gibbet Hill's crispy potato-crusted cod with sweet corn and bacon chowder or with a snow crab bisque. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Complex and detailed, with soaring aromas of white peach, Mirabelle plum, and ginger spice that follow through on the palate to lifted flavors of apricot and graham cracker, complemented by a clear tenor of minerality that persists into the finish.
