Wine Review: Pale golden yellow colored, this Chardonnay has a warm and inviting bouquet of ripe pear, Nilla wafers and crushed shells, with a hint of nectarine. On the palate, it is very clean and soft, with a medium body, moderate balanced acidity, and a supple, slightly creamy mouthfeel. There are flavors of pronounced crushed oyster shells, crisp white peach, and Macintosh apple, with a touch of saline and lemon zest. The finish is mineral-driven and very extended. Serve slightly chilled with fried scallops or a field greens salad with poached pears, gorgonzola and candied pecans dressed with champagne vinaigrette. – Mark
