Wine Review: This garnet-colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend opens with a faint red plum and dried herb bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, smooth. and approachable. The flavor profile is graphite and gentle spiced plum blend with notes of mild black tea and black jellybean. I also picked up some hints of black pepper, loam and oak in the mix. The finish is dry and its mild fine tannins and acidity drift away nicely. I would briefly decant this red blend. After a little aeration, I would pair this very quaffable wine with a five-star skirt steak fajitas recipe. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 KB by KB Red Blend delivers pleasure from the moment it is opened. While only 20% of the final blend, Merlot provides a sensual texture that carries throughout this wine, taming the normally tannic Petit Verdot and bringing forward its finest qualities of plum fruit and warm ginger spice cake. The Cabernet Sauvignon plays a supporting role, providing a solid base of cassis and cedar with a whiff of cinnamon. Drink now through 2035.
