Wine Review: This medium purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a fragrant boysenberry, menthol and wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with plus acidity. The flavor profile is graphite influenced black currant and oak blend with hints of plum, tea, and pomegranate. The finish is dry and its grippy dusty tannins linger for quite some time. The Panel would pair this Cab with roast lamb or pate. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Comprised of the intense Heritage Clone 6 fruit, the 2017 Collinwood Cabernet Sauvignon wraps high-toned red and warm purple fruits in spice, cedar, and shaved chocolate while maintaining perfect focus and balance. There is a subtle finesse, elegant presence, and fine texture that evolves in the glass. While delicious early on, do not underestimate its cellaring potential for 20 years or more.
