Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay from Knights Bridge is really good. It opens with an attractive Bartlett pear and new oak bouquet with some almond and floral notes. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well-balanced and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a tasty toasted oak and pear blend with hints of coconut, minerality and almond butter. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for a while. This Chard would pair nicely with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2016 Pont de Chevalier Chardonnay is a delicate wine with great energy and is enticing early on. Luscious aromas of custard, vanilla cream, and citrus blossoms prepare the palate for a bright, yet creamy mouthfeel. Full and balanced flavors of citrus, marzipan, vanilla, and light custard linger, leading to a complex finish inviting the next sip. The elegance of this wine will pair nicely with a nut-crusted pan-fried sea bass served with jasmine rice or with an aged Manchego cheese with fresh sourdough and a quince paste.
