Wine Review: This Sauvignon Blanc from Knights Bridge is almost clear and very bright in the glass. This wine opens with a fresh honeydew melon and green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty mild mineral infused grapefruit with notes of green apple. I also detected a hint of white pepper. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would enjoy this with seared scallops and Stuart's sauteed Brussel sprouts. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Knights Bridge Estate Pont de Chevalier Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of lime, Anjou pear, hints of fresh spring rains, freesia, and delicate perfume notes. Flavors of dried mango, citrus and a bright acidity linger on the palate and the full mouth feel at the entry is balanced with a cleansing mouth-watering citrus finish. This wine would pair perfectly with a citrusy scallop ceviche with avocado, or crostini with preserved lemon and creme fraiche.
