Wine Review: Have you ever heard of Vignoles? Me neither, but I thought I would give it a try. What I found is a wine that my sister would really like. It is pale yellow colored and opens with a mild lime bouquet with a hint of Clementine, white grape, and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, semi sweet, and viscous. The flavor profile is a mild pineapple with faint notes of apricot, peach, and lime in the background. The finish is continues as semi sweet, but yet it is held in check with a little gentle acidity. It is refreshing and pleasant. Our mini group of tasters thought it would be perfect to pair with spicy Thai food or a rich dessert. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Tropical fruit flavor and zesty acidity are balanced by a luscious sweetness in the Vignoles from Knapp. This style wine is pleasant with spicy foods, cheesecake or ripe fruit.
