Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Petit Verdot based port-styled wine from King Family opens with a fig and black olive bouquet, On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and round. The flavor profile is mocha and espresso blend with notes of fig and black plum. We also detected hints of oak, black licorice, and caramel. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity. The Tasting Panel would pair this dessert wine with a cigar. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Named for the fictional seventh chukker in a polo match, this wine is produced from 100% Petit Verdot, aged for 22 months in bourbon barrels, and fortified with brandy. Aromas of blackberry, dried fig, and creme brulee. On the palate, rich notes of plum, leather, graphite, and cedar tree. A well-balanced residual sweetness, acidity, alcohol, and tannin carry this wine through a long finish.
