Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from Kim Crawford is really good. It opens with a very fragrant yellow grapefruit bouquet with hints of tangerine. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, acidic, yet does not show sharp edges. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe ruby grapefruit with notes minerality and tangerine. I also detected a touch of green pepper in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and its flavors last for quite a while. This Sauvignon Blanc would be perfect to pair with spring rolls or sushi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Colour: Light pale straw. Aroma: Amazingly powerful aromas, distinctively Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Lemon meringue pie, sweet passion fruit, melon, and tropical fruits with hints of crushed tomato leaf. Palate: Intense complex flavours of citrus balanced with ripe tropical fruits of passion fruit and white peach. Crisp acidity and a lingering finish round out this stunning wine. Cellar: Drink now and up to three years. Food Pairings: A wine to suit full-flavoured seafood dishes such as pan-seared scallops or crayfish.
