Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from down under opens with a fragrant pear and bee's wax bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused tart green apple and lime blend with notes pineapple, ginger, and white pepper. The finish is quite dry and its flavors and mineral notes last for quite some time. This bone-dry styled Riesling would pair well with spring rolls or grilled swordfish kabobs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Brilliant in clarity, pale straw in color with youthful green tints. Lifted aromas of fresh limes, lemon curd and floral notes are a compelling assault to the senses. Generously flavored, yet still tightly wound, the palate provides the complete expression of the what the Clare Valley can do in a classic year. Lemons, limes, racy natural acidity all combine in a rewarding and ageworthy flavor experience. This wine's core of natural acidity will provide terrific balance, great palate length and satisfaction for the next 20 years with proper cellaring.
