Wine Review: This white gold colored dry Riesling from down under opens with an Anjou pear and candle wax like bouquet with a hint of lime. On the palate, this wine is dry, acidic, lively and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a lime and Anjou pear blend with notes of orange and mild minerality throughout. The finish is as dry and its flavors stick around for quite some time. This wine is for raw oyster fans. Chase them with this wine and enjoy! Ken
Winemaker Notes: One of the coolest summer and harvest seasons for a decade has shaped one of the most intensely flavored and crisply structured Mort’s Block Rieslings since 2002. Aromatic and overt, the nose is a riot of lemons and limes, florals and delicate perfumes. The palate combines generous lemon and lime flavors with a fresh core of tightly wound natural acidity, leading on to a satisfying, lingering finish. This wine will age gracefully for twenty years with under proper cellaring conditions.
