Wine Review: This pitch black colored Syrah from the Clare Valley opens with a heavenly blueberry bouquet with hints of blackberry and earth. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, assertive, and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused ripe black raspberry with notes of blackberry. We also detected hints of anise, oak and coffee. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins linger for a bit. The panel suggested pairing this tasty Shiraz with marinated steak tips or Osso Buco. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Appearance: Bright red in colour with youthful crimson hues. Nose: Impressive aromas of cloves, black olives and dark cherries jump out of the glass. Palate: Dark cherries and kitchen spices carry forward from the nose, beautifully wrapped up in fine French oak and dry powdery fruit tannins. Made in a texturally rewarding style, yet possessing surprising finesse and with a lingering flavour persistence.
