Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored Pinot Gris opens with a very fragrant lychee like bouquet with a hint of tangerine. On the palate, this wine is rather zippy and ripe. The flavor profile is a juicy ripe grapefruit with notes of lime and peach. This wine will really appeal to New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc fans. The finish is very refreshing. It would be particularly good with Great Hill blue cheese and a fig spread on a slice of French baguette. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: "Though the grape is gray-blue-purple in color (Gris), the juice and wine are clear. These small pinecone-shaped clusters (Pinot) yield great flavors when pressed and fermented in stainless steel, supported with 25% barrel fermentation for palate richness. This bright effusive Pinot Gris has complex layers of lemon, apple, light spice and floral tones." — Randy Ullom, Winemaster
