Wine Review: This light gold colored Chardonnay from Kendall Jackson opens with a pineapple and lemon zest bouquet with hints of ginger and almond. On the palate, this wine medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and round. The flavor profile is pineapple and oak blend with notes of butter and mango. I also detected hints of chamomile tea and banana. Its flavors and acidity linger nicely on the finish. I would pair this Chard with fish tacos with a mango salsa. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Lush tropical fruit intertwines with nice minerality from the calciferous soils in the Santa Maria and Los Alamos Valleys. There is a touch of floral notes from the small amounts of Dijon and Rued clones, and a hint of vanilla and spice to round out the rich, long finish.
