Wine Review: This dark yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a fragrant oak, honey and lemon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, rich and lush. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pear with notes of honey and pineapple. I also detected hints of nutmeg and golden raisin. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for quite some time. This Chard will appeal to fans who like an oaky Chardonnay. I would drink it on its own or with a lobster roll. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The chilly climate and very long growing season allows the grapes to retain a high natural acidity, while the narrow diurnal temperatures of the growing season results in extraordinarily flavorful grapes. Rich and creamy with golden mango, pineapple, yellow peach, and honeysuckle flower flavors, plus a hint of tangerine. Oak barrel aging adds notes of buttered biscuits and vanilla bean to the palate and long, lingering finish.
