Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir opens with a fragrant and appealing blueberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty blueberry and cola blend with notes of black currant and gentle oak. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors are nicely extended. This Pinot is very food friendly. I would pair this yummy Pinot with bacon wrapped pork tenderloin medallions with fig sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine shows its cool-climate origins in bright acidity, accenting the rich flavors of blueberries, black cherries, cola and dusty spices. Firm minerality grounds the wine. The tannins are silky, while oak barrel aging brings a smoky, sandalwood note. Beautiful to drink now on release, this Pinot will age well over the next six years.
