Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from KJ opens with a mild black cherry bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and approachable. The flavor profile is mild blackberry and red plum blend with notes of stony minerality. I also picked up some hints of currant and old oak as well. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins and minerality fade away nicely. This very nice Cab would pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This Cabernet shows mountain intensity in its rich blackberry, black currant and cassis flavors. It’s bone dry, with thick but refined tannins, and brightened by a fine burst of acidity. Blended with a little Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec for complexity, it drinks beautifully now, and will age for a decade or longer.
