Wine Review: This value priced Pinot Noir from Kendal Jackson is dark red and very translucent. It opens with a strawberry and black pepper bouquet with hints of oak and black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a toasted oak infused black currant with notes of black pepper. There is also some black raspberry and anise mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its oak tannins and flavors are mild, but do linger nicely. This Pinot would pair well with a juicy Angus bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This garnet gem delivers bright cherry, strawberry and raspberry fruit with elegant earthy notes infused with cola and mild spice accents. Oak aging adds a hint of vanilla and a soft, smoky finish. - Randy Ullom
