Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored Merlot from KJ opens with dark chocolate, coconut, and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild black plum with hints of minerality, faint oak and a touch of red currant. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Merlot is very food friendly and would pair well with homemade meatloaf or a Five Guys bacon and sauteed mushroom burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Boysenberry and cherry flavors with background notes of violet, chocolate and cedar. Textured and graceful on the palate with fine-grained tannins conveying gorgeous fruit through a lengthy finish. Wine is smooth and the tannins are refined and round in true Merlot character. - Randy Ullom, Winemaster
