Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Ken Wright opens with a pineapple and Bartlett pear bouquet with hints of marigold and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, creamy, and smooth. The flavor profile is poached pear and light oak blend with notes of chalky minerality and golden delicious apple. I also detected hints of vanilla and chamomile tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. I would pair this Chardonnay with broiled scallops with a butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
