Wine Review: This entry level Chenin Blanc from South Africa is consistently a very nice offering. The 2012 is pale yellow colored and opens with a fragrant pear and pineapple like bouquet with a hint of banana. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, crisp and acidic. The flavor profile is a mineral infused Anjou pear with hints of green apple, white pepper, and tangerine. The finish is dry sand very refreshing. This wine would be nice by the pool on a hot day. I would pair it with Quiche Lorraine. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Perfect everyday drinking wine. A youthful fresh wine with quince and pear drop flavours. Earlier picked freshness shows on palate with crunchy green apple and grapefruit flavours. Good mouthfeel and appetisingly tangy finish. Serve with all flavoursome, light al fresco summertime meals.
