Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a ripe black raspberry and musty oak bouquet with hints of plum and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is black raspberry and mild crushed stone blend with notes of earthy loam and black plum. We also detected some hints of light chocolate and clove. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely extended. This Pinot benefits from aeration and smoothes out. This Pinot would pair well with Theresa’s maple, pecan, and craisin chicken. Enjoy – Ken and Mark
Winemaker Notes: The nose is a mix of black cherry and Bing cherry with classic Burgundy hints of tomato leaves which are followed by red plum and ripe raspberry. Mild tones of vanilla and clove. On the palate, the fruit becomes more complex with racy acidity bringing up the dried black cherry and black plum which create a long finish of cedar and red fruits. This is a classic cool climate Pinot Noir that shows delicate fruit with a well-balanced silky texture.
