Wine Review: This deep straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Kelleher opens with an asparagus, lemon and grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, nicely balanced and quite round for a Sauvignon Blanc. Yet it still displays nice acidity in the background. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality along with gentle notes of lime, faint yellow grapefruit and green apple. I also detected just a touch of vanilla in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and fades away finish. It you want to enjoy a classy styled Sauvignon Blanc, give this one a try. You will not be disappointed. Try it with English Dover Sole Meunière. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is the 10th vintage of our highly rated Kelleher “Block 21” Sauvignon Blanc. The fruit is sourced from an organic vineyard just a mile north of us in the Oakville AVA. It is fresh and bright with aromas of ripe melon, pear, citrus, stone fruit and guava. Bright acidity and refreshing minerality treat you to a classic Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc that is irresistible now and will age for the next 3-4 years.
