Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with an attractive strawberry licorice bouquet with a hint of red cherry and cigar box. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, delicate and smooth. The flavor profile is similar to the nose, featuring strawberry licorice with hints of Maraschino cherry, red plum and a touch of cedar and spice drop. The finish is dry and its pleasant acidity and flavors are nicely prolonged. I would pair this refined Pinot with roasted quail with a Pinot Noir sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The nose is a mix of black cherry and Bing cherry with classic Burgundy hints of tomato leaves which are followed by red plum and ripe raspberry. Mild tones of vanilla and clove. On the palate, the fruit becomes more complex with racy acidity bringing up the dried black cherry and black plum which create a long finish of cedar and red fruits. This is a classic cool climate Pinot Noir that shows delicate fruit with a well-balanced silky texture.
