Wine Review: This golden yellow colored Chardonnay from Kelleher is very good. It opens with a fragrant and appealing pineapple and ripe pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, rich and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild oak influenced pear with notes of butterscotch. I also detected hints of pineapple, green apple and lemon zest. Its flavors linger and last for quite some. This Chard is fine on its own. With food I would pair it with a lobster roll. Enjoy – Ken.
Winemaker Notes: Our 2016 Kelleher “Three Sisters” Chardonnay is a non-malolactic Chardonnay that offers a lively nose with the aromas of stone fruit, Asian pear and pineapple. The mouthfeel is full bodied, rich and broad with a balanced acidity that leads to a long lingering finish. Enjoy now and over the next four years.
