Wine Review: This deep purple colored Shiraz from The McLaren Vale is terrific. It opens with a blackberry, black currant, and black licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity that is present but is in check. The edges are rounded, and the wine is juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty stewed black plum and mulberry blend with notes of minerality and black licorice. There are hints of black pepper, olive, and clove that appear towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Shiraz is made to be enjoyed on its own. Share with friends who enjoy big and bold Aussie Shiraz! - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Deep ruby
Aroma: Alluring aromas of dark purple fruits, black currant, dried herbs followed by earthy notes.
Palate: The palate is dense and concentrated with lashings of rich dark fruits, umami, black olive tapenade and chocolate. Supported by gritty textured tannins lingering on the finish. A full-flavored wine which has you craving for more!
