Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a Chai tea and red licorice bouquet with a hint of smoke and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is stewed black plum and red currant blend notes of Slim Jim. We also detected hints of chai tea and cedar. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins, flavors and acidity show nice length. The Panel would pair this South African Cab with slow-cooked Texas beef brisket. Korean ribs or a smoked pork chop. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This powerful yet elegant Bordeaux blend is a true South African classic. It exhibits intense aromas and rich flavors of cassis, plum and licorice, with underlying notes of leather and tealeaf. Enticing hints of violets, underbrush, and cigar box linger on the long, silky finish.
