Wine Review: This midnight purple colored entry-level Pinotage from Kanonkop opens with a black cherry and olive bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry, oak and olive blend with notes of minerality. I also detected hints of fig and black licorice mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its sticky tannins lingered for quite some time. This good value Pinotage would pair well with a juicy Angus burger. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: A deep purple-red color, with a bright rim, this Pinotage offers notes of raspberry, strawberry and black plum which are balanced by characteristics of sweet spice, vanilla and supple tannins.
