Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Pinotage based wine is a good value. It opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet with a hint of leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very juicy. The flavor profile is a boysenberry and stewed plum blend with integrated minerality throughout. I also picked up some notes of beef jerky and toasty oak mixed in. Finally, I detected a hint of strawberry licorice towards the very end. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. I would pair this wine with a barbecue bacon cheeseburger. Enjoy – Ken
