Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with an earthy black currant and oak bouquet with hints of black cherry and leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a cedar infused black cherry with notes of minerality. We also detected hints of black pepper and chewing tobacco. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for a while. We suggested pairing this Cab with Jiko's wild boar with hints of mushroom risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This powerful yet elegant Bordeaux blend is a true South African classic. It displays intense aromas and rich flavors of cassis, blackberry and licorice, with underlying notes of leather and tealeaf. Intriguing hints of violets, underbrush and cigar box carry through on the long, silky finish.
