Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Pinotage opens with an inviting black raspberry and mild oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced and super smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious mild black raspberry with hints of blackberry and gentle oak. The finish is dry and its mild and well-managed tannins make it very food friendly. Kanonkop in my opinion makes the best Pinotage year in and year out. Pair this year’s vintage with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A very complex wine with hints of red fruit flavours which reflects some Pinot Noir style elegance and structure. Big, bold tannin structures which are down played by ripe tannins and elegance. Food Suggestion: Red meat or spicy Asian style dishes.
