Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Kanonkop opens with black cherry and old leather bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a very tasty red plum with notes of gentle oak and faint minerality. I also detected a hint of red currant in the background. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are a little sticky and linger and last for a long time. I would pair this wine with a well marbled ribeye to tame its tannins. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Full bodied, deep ruby red colour. An elegant classic style with black currant, red berry and cassis flavours.
