Wine Review: This Austrian sparkler is a blend of 50% Zweigelt and 50% Pinot Noir. It is made by well-known winemaker Markus Huber. It is a medium pink colored with several streams of small bubbles. A somewhat reserved nose includes strawberry, tangerine, and saline aromas. There's a nice burst of froth on the palate, with medium acidity, medium body, good balance, and a dry, delicate style. It displays gentle flavors of watermelon, strawberries, stone dust, and white tea. The finish is refreshing and with a fine trace of tannins. Serve this Rose with a classic Margherita pizza. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: After six vintages, June and Cat launched June's Rosé nationally in 2023, finally ready to answer the calls of thirst traps, retailers, and independent restaurants throughout the country who’ve been asking for a taste. It is a spirited and happily bubbly wine with notes of ripe strawberries, red cherry, and hibiscus tea, with a mineral-dry finish. (Certified Organic)
