Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Joseph Phelps opens with a fragrant and inviting red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum with notes of gentle oak. I also detected hints of pomegranate and a touch of cinnamon. The finish is dry and its tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Pinot with a red beet and goat cheese salad. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This latest vintage of Pinot Noir has a pleasing bouquet of plum, black currant, baking spices and sweet vanilla. Fresh and focused with silky, textural layers of ripe raspberry, black cherry, dried herbs and tangerine peel culminating in a long, elegant finish.
