Wine Review: This cloudy and pale straw colored Chardonnay opens with a mild lemon and wet stone bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and fresh. The flavor profile is a mild lemon verbena and gentle minerality blend. I also detected hints of tangerine, faint oak and Anjou pear. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors are nicely prolonged. This Chard would pair well with baked stuffed shrimp. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bursting with aromatic floral and citrus notes, the 2013 Chardonnay envelopes the senses with honeysuckle, ripe pear, lemon zest and sweet honey. This wine shows beautifully balanced acidity with mouthwatering green apple and tangy Meyer lemon throughout the richly layered palate to the sumptuously viscous finish.
