Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Pinot Noir is well made and designed for reader who enjoys the delicate and elegant side of Pinot. It opens with a very inviting strawberry bouquet with a hint of wintermint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant with a hint of tea, plum, and very mild old oak. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. The panel suggested pairing this very friendly Pinot with fresh Norwegian salmon or a game bird like pheasant. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine fills the senses with pleasing aromas of cassis, dark plum, dried herbs and earthy notes of cedar and forest floor. A silky mouth feel and lingering flavors of black cherry, allspice, wild mushrooms and black tea mingle with hints of toasty vanilla bean and Freestone's characteristic tangerine peel. Bright acidity and balanced tannins create a captivating Pinot Noir with a long, rich finish.
