Wine Review: This translucent and pale white gold colored Chardonnay from Joseph Drouhin is very good. It opens with a fragrant ripe pear and mango bouquet with a hint of kiwi. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality and Anjou pear with notes of lemon verbena and green tea. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this French Chardonnay with chicken piccata. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fruity and full of life. This is a classical white Burgundy and a good entry level wine for Burgundy in general. The color is golden yellow, with a greenish glint. The aromas are reminiscent of fresh grape and green almond. Elegant texture.
