Wine Review: This dark red colored Spanish blend is a very good value. It opens with a red raspberry bouquet with a hint of cranberry and pomagrante. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused strawberry with hints of red raspberry. The finish is dry and pleasant. While not the most complex wine in the world, this summer quaffer would be a prefect wine for your summer cookouts. Serve it cool with grilled Bratwurst off the grill. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Made from Garnacha, Samso (Carinena), Syrah and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on llicorella (slate) and decomposed granite soils. Vines average between 30 and 50 years old, yielding a scant 1.25 kilos per vine. Aging is 50% in light-toast French oak, 50% in lined concrete. Freshness and intensity of fruit are the result.
