Wine Review: This medium purple colored Syrah from the Barossa Valley opens with a fragrant boysenberry and acai berry bouquet with hints of lilac, cigar box and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, nicely balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tasty red currant, strawberry and mocha blend with notes of boysenberry. We also detected some hints of white tea and cardamom mixed in. The finish is dry and subtle. The Panel would pair this Aussie Shiraz with coconut shrimp with mango, duck breast with cherry sauce or teriyaki salmon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The nose shows lifted boysenberry, florals and hints of anise and clove. The palate is awash with fresh, vibrant blueberries and concentrated plums with hints of cedar spice finishing with flowing waves of extremely fine tannins.
